2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Mary Patricia Pierceall; and
| ||||||
4 | WHEREAS, Mary Pierceall was born on June 27, 1957 to | ||||||
5 | Richard H. and Katherine (nee Rafferty) Pierceall; she | ||||||
6 | graduated from Aurora University with a degree in economics; | ||||||
7 | and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Mary Pierceall worked as a realtor and a | ||||||
9 | collection account manager for a doctor's office; she owned a | ||||||
10 | manicure business and was a partner of a painting contracting | ||||||
11 | business; most recently, she was a self-employed political | ||||||
12 | consultant and professional fundraiser; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Mary Pierceall's involvement in politics | ||||||
14 | escalated in 1990 when she ran for Aurora alderman-at-large; | ||||||
15 | the following year, she was elected a Republican Precinct | ||||||
16 | Committeeman, a position she held for 20 years; she was highly | ||||||
17 | sought after for campaign advice, for making contacts for | ||||||
18 | candidates, and for fundraising; she enjoyed trips to | ||||||
19 | Springfield and to Washington, D.C. for political business; and

20 | WHEREAS, Mary Pierceall was affectionately known as | ||||||
21 | "Nammy", "Tiga", "Phenomenal Anomaly", "Sweet Meet", and |

1 | "Conqueror"; she enjoyed family vacations, traveling, and | ||||||
2 | spending time with her family; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Mary Pierceall was preceded in death by her | ||||||
4 | father, Richard; her sister, Sandra; her mother-in-law, Wilma; | ||||||
5 | and her brother, Richard; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Mary Pierceall is survived by her granddaughter, | ||||||
7 | Brooke; her daughter, Brandy; her husband, Joe Sachen; her | ||||||
8 | mother, Katherine; her sister, Teresa; her brother, Mikey; her | ||||||
9 | son-in-law, Chris; her father-in-law, Lee; her sister-in-law, | ||||||
10 | Jackie; her sister, Kathy; her nieces, Melissa, Taylor, Amanda, | ||||||
11 | and Jessica; her nephews, Ryan, Johnny, Adam, and Mike; her | ||||||
12 | sister-in-law, Kathy; her nephews-in-law, Jeff, Kyle, and | ||||||
13 | Kevin; her brothers-in-law, Al and Chuck; her close friends, | ||||||
14 | Deb, Kay, Della, Laurie, Joanne, Ellen, and Beth; and numerous | ||||||
15 | sisters, nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives, and friends; | ||||||
16 | therefore, be it

17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
19 | Mary Patricia Pierceall, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
20 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
21 | further

22 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
