       Senator Stargel moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 471 - 488
    4  and insert:
    5         252.3569 Florida state agricultural response team;
    6  emergency response to animal, agricultural, and vector issues.
    7  The Legislature finds that the Department of Agriculture and
    8  Consumer Services is the lead agency for animal, agricultural,
    9  and vector issues in the state. Pursuant to this responsibility,
   10  there is established within the Department of Agriculture and
   11  Consumer Services a state agriculture response team.
   12         (1) The state agricultural response team is responsible for
   13  the development, training, and support of county agricultural
   14  response teams and other nonemergency support functions.
   15         (2) During emergency or disaster situations, as described
   16  by the Florida Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan, the
   17  division shall coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and
   18  Consumer Services for the purposes of:
   19         (a) Oversight of the emergency management functions of
   20  preparedness, recovery, mitigation, and response with all
   21  agencies and organizations that are involved with the state’s
   22  response activities to animal, agricultural, and vector issues;
   23  and
   24         (b) Staffing the Emergency Support Function 17 at the State
   25  Emergency Operations Center and staffing, as necessary, at
   26  county emergency operations centers.

   30         Delete line 14
   31  and insert:
   32         duties of the team; requiring, during emergency and
