Legislation Overview
Title: Firearms, certain; possession or transportation by certain persons, penalty.
Description: Possession or transportation of certain firearms by certain persons; penalty. Prohibits persons younger thanĀ 18 years of age from possessing or transporting handguns or assault firearms anywhere in the Commonwealth, with certain exceptions. Current law prohibits persons younger than 18 years of age from possessing or transporting handguns or assault firearms. The bill also prohibits persons younger than 21 years of age from purchasing a handgun or assault firearm anywhere in the Commonwealth, with certain exceptions.
