Nice store, but a bit pricey
I went in a few times to look and to perform a PPT. the vibe I got from the employees was not really a good one. I sensed bit judged due to my age (20's) and race (Asian). In particular by one of the older gentlemen there (one two occasions). Something about his tone of voice and lack of helpfulness gave me bad vibes.
Fortunately I did have one good experience with one of the younger employees who helped me look at several handguns as carry options for my wife. He continued to give me his attention even when the store got busy.
Regardless. The store is well-stocked with AR parts, rifles, shotguns, and good variety of handguns. They don't seem to get a lot of glocks, but they have a good selection of springfield xds, sigs, and lots of 1911's (colts, RIA, Kimbers, and Sig.)
Prices are bit high even for the gun-unfriendly BayArea market. Their RIA 1911 Govt' GI was like $599 before taxes and fees.
There ammo supply was decent. But like their guns prices were meh.
Their internet transfer rate is actually one of the highest I've ever seen: $125 BEFORE DROS! (I called in for a quote a few months ago.)
Overall:
- Good selection of guns
- average customer service
- a bit pricey
- (plus points for only being 5 minutes from my house)
